Program of the course:

The five-day course is based on the process of developing a Social Media Communication Strategy. Each day represents one important segment of the strategy development process. Throughout the lecture, participants will be presented with the steps required to create a Social Media Strategy, and guidelines how to complete them in the most efficient way. Each lecture will include examples from relevant case studies. Participants in the lecture are required to have basic knowledge of social media communication.

Day 1 – Social Media Communication Guidelines – In the first day of the course students will learn about the most important elements of social media communication – principles of communication and opportunities (networks and formats) for communication.

Day 2 – Step 1: Analysis – on the second day of the course the students will be led through the first step of the strategy development process – analysis of the market, competitors and their social media communication.

Day 3 – Step 2: Target persona development – on the third day of the course, students will learn how to create a target persona which will serve as a basis for the following steps – communication and advertising development.

Day 4 – Step 3: Communication development – the focus of this lecture will be the development of the content for the social media strategy. Students will be given guidelines as well as useful tips on how to create effective content that is relevant for their target audience.

Day 5 – Step 4: Advertising plan development and organization – the last day of the course will focus on planning and setting up of the advertising processes, as well as overall organization of the strategy activities.

The course will be led by Iva Dujak, PhD. supported by expert representatives from the marketing agency Brand Union.
